Room Bounding Requirements
Room Bounding is required for all elements that are required to create rooms in Revit. These comprise:
Structural Elements or Floors
Rectilinear Rooms*
Tandm currently operates best with rectangular rooms.
See Figure 1 for visual representations of rectilinear rooms.
Obstructions
Any obstructions such as lights, ducts, cable trays, air conditioning registers, electrical fittings, fire protection equipment or otherwise noted must be associated with the appropriate Revit category.
Note: Generic models are not supported as an obstruction for this version of Tandm
Fire Sprinkler Placement Bounding Requirements
When placing fire sprinklers using Tandm, the User must be operating within a floor plan or a reflected ceiling plan view. This allows Tandm to see the geometry within the model to analyse and place fire sprinklers in accordance with the geometric data.
Tandm requires levels to be created, or monitored from a master linked file.
Tandm requires the levels to be setup by the Users as per the standard setup process for any linked service Revit model. This includes, but is not limited to:
Fire sprinkler families must be loaded, however Tandm will also provide default/out-of-the-box fire sprinkler families if the User does not have any.
