Version 1.9.1 – August 2025
Tandm v1.9.1 focuses on Revit 2025 compatibility, deeper bug resolution, and stability improvements across Free Edit, coverage, and compliance validation workflows. While not feature-heavy, this release addresses significant improvements for large-scale projects and complex layouts.

- Coverage not recalculating in Free Edit when switching views now resolved.
- Disappearing sprinklers when entering Free Edit has been fixed.
- Cancelling Free Edit now fully resets compliance validation overlays.
- Deleting a sprinkler during editing now also clears compliance state.
- Split room coverage now updates in real time after edit.
- Invalid split lines are now shown in red to improve user feedback.

Version 1.8 – June 2025
Tandm Version 1.8 brings a refined user experience with key new features that make layout, validation, and model coordination more intuitive and efficient. Many of these changes are in direct response to feedback from our users, helping Tandm evolve into an even more powerful tool for automated fire protection design.

What’s New
- Sprinkler Compliance Validation Sprinklers in the Advance Design Tool (ADT) can now be clicked to show compliance information.
- Sprinkler Coverage Visualisation Tandm now calculates and displays sprinkler coverage using a union of S&D rectangles. If coverage cannot be calculated (e.g. due to architectural model issues), affected sprinklers are now shown in orange with a validation message. To further assist, rooms containing these non-compliant sprinklers are also highlighted in red—visually guiding users directly to the issue.
- Free Edit Tool A new Free Edit tool has been added to the ADT, allowing manual placement and adjustment of sprinklers. It includes live measurements in two directions to assist precise alignment.
- Toggle for Ceiling Heights or Coverage A new toggle allows users to switch between viewing sprinkler coverage and ceiling height gradients within ADT, ensuring clarity when working across multiple design layers.

- Advance Design Tool (ADT) Improvements:
- Contextual UI Enhancements The ADT interface has been refined to present more relevant tools and actions based on the current task, reducing visual noise and improving usability.
- Hazard Classification Information Display Users can now see which hazard classification is currently applied to a room while working within ADT.
- Performance Optimisations General performance of the ADT has been improved, with smoother interaction and responsiveness across large models and complex placements.
- New ADT Ribbon Interface A redesigned ADT ribbon has been implemented, grouping tools more logically and improving accessibility for common layout actions.
- Workflow Enhancements:
- Room Splitting Tool Upgrade Room split lines can now be moved, adjusted, or deleted after placement. Multiple split lines are now supported, enabling faster division of rooms into tailored layouts. Holding Shift now locks split lines to vertical or horizontal axis for cleaner divisions.
- Room Creation Validation After Room Creation, all rooms are now highlighted with improved messaging prompting users to confirm if any rooms are missing.
- Improved Login Access Flow Users can now log in and out of Tandm directly via the Revit ribbon (under “Tandm Help”), avoiding reliance on the Tandm Accelerator.
- Tandm Ribbon Button Accessibility Tandm buttons are now active even outside of RCP/floor plan views, displaying a warning prompt instead of being greyed out (unless the product is unlicensed).
- Soffit Distance Settings for Open Ceilings Users can now define the minimum distance from the underside of a soffit when working with exposed ceiling designs, allowing greater control over vertical placement compliance.
- Duct Sprinkler Tagging Sprinklers placed within ducts are now automatically tagged with the identifier “UD” to assist with visual identification and downstream documentation.

- Interaction Improvements
- Clicking between rooms is now faster.
- Right-click to remove and left-click to place sprinklers has been added in ADT.
- Sprinklers now highlight when selected or moved for easier manipulation.
Bug Fixes
- Revision Cloud Management Fixed an issue where Tandm was creating multiple revisions in Revit when applying revision clouds. Tandm now generates only a single revision entry, regardless of the number of clouds added.
- Measurement Tool Reset Resolved an issue where the measurement tool did not clear correctly after placement or edits in ADT.
- Wall Visibility Fixed a bug where walls were not appearing in some models due to incorrect visual loading states or unsupported model elements.
- Splitting Tool Display Fixed edge cases where the splitting tool did not display during room division.
- Sprinkler Interaction Fixed issues where sprinklers would disappear during pan or had no visual highlight when being moved.
- Undo and Hovering Undo now works for moved split lines, and hover behaviour on split lines has been corrected.
Other Updates
- EULA Updated The Tandm End User Licence Agreement (EULA) has been updated to reflect changes in our licensing structure and terms of use. These updates include clarifications around refund policy and support for future modular product offerings.
