Tandm – Dry Fire is an advanced design automation tool that operates directly within Revit®, purpose-built for fire detection and alarm professionals. It dramatically reduces design time while improving compliance, accuracy, and confidence — especially on fast-turnaround projects and large-scale commercial developments.
This tool intelligently places detection and notification devices in 3D BIM models using configurable logic aligned with:
- Ceiling tiles (various shapes and sizes in metric, imperial and user-defined custom types)
- Room types and functions
- AS 1670, NFPA 72, BS 5839 and user-defined spacing rules
- Project-specific design intent and family preferences
With minimal user input, Tandm analyses floor-by-floor model geometry, evaluates coverage zones, and places detectors and speakers according to ceiling tile coordination and spacing parameters — whether exposed or below ceiling, with or without ceilings.
